Senior Officer (Digital Marketing and Content Creation) (25260149)
The Research Office (RO) is seeking a creative, meticulous team player with hands-on experience in digital marketing and content development. The ideal candidate should be familiar with trends and skilled in multichannel content creation to enhance HKBU’s research visibility among academic audiences. The successful candidate will join the RO and perform the following duties:
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the social media strategy, oversee platforms such as LinkedIn and WeChat, optimising performance through data analysis, content planning and scheduling, paid advertising, and trend monitoring to strengthen research visibility and engagement;
- Drive end-to-end content creation across multiple channels, including social media, website, publications, newsletters, storytelling campaigns, and marketing collaterals, both visual and copywriting, from concept development to execution, while occasionally collaborating with agencies to produce high-impact, professional content;
- Contribute to research outreach initiatives, such as supporting website maintenance and search engine optimisation, assisting with video production, and facilitating academic events (e.g., networking events, seminars, conferences, and exhibitions);
- Support committee work, research-related reports and writing, and administrative work within the team; and
- Perform any other duties and research initiatives, as assigned.
Requirements:
- A recognised degree in Corporate Communications, Digital Marketing, or related disciplines;
- At least four years of experience in digital marketing and content development, preferably with exposure to academic ranking and research communications in higher education;
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
- Proficiency in computing applications and design software such as Canva;
- Proactive, organised team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills; and
- Thrives in fast-paced environments, effectively balancing priorities under tight timelines.
The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of 2 years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
