The appointee will be a member of the Campus Safety and Facilities Management Section of the Estates Office and manage an outsourced security services and cleaning services teams etc. as well as provide quality security service for on-campus and off-campus premises of the University.
Responsibilities:
- Perform campus management functions, including but not limited to venue management, security service and cleaning service;
- Monitor the daily operations of outsourced service providers, such as security and cleaning services;
- Assist in supervising and monitoring outsourced service providers in accordance with contract requirements;
- Handle enquiries and complaints related to facilities management matters;
- Review operation guidelines and procedures to enhance good practice;
- Participate and coordinate with outsourced contractors and other parties in emergency drills to ensure compliance with University procedures; and
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Possess a recognised degree with at least four years’ post-qualification work experience in facility/property management or related disciplines, preferably with experience to manage outsourced services contractors;
- Solid experience in developing processes, procedures and standards is preferred;
- Good communication and language skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua) are required; and
- Self-disciplined, multi-tasking, proactive, customer-oriented, possessing strong problem-solving, planning and management skills, and able to work both collaboratively and independently.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test.
The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to performance review, mutual agreement and availability of funding.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
