Senior Student Development Officer (25260055)
The Scholarships and Financial Aid Unit is mainly responsible for the administration and allocation of scholarships and financial assistance schemes for students in the University. The Unit now invites applications for the position detailed below:
Responsibilities:
- Administer various scholarships and financial assistance schemes for undergraduate and postgraduate students, including promotion, arranging selection interviews, liaising with stakeholders, processing applications, updating webpage and database, arranging payment, etc.;
- Assist in the administration of the First-Generation University Student Fund, including promotion, enquiries and reimbursement to students;
- Assist in compiling statistical summaries, committee meeting papers and reports for senior management and relevant committee(s);
- Lead projects aimed at streamlining and automating the administrative processes for scholarship and financial aid programmes funded by the university, monitor project timelines, budgets, and deliverables closely to ensure successful completion;
- Prepare letters/reports to donors to foster strong relationships with donors and ensure effective communication; and
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree with at least five years of relevant work experience. Previous work experience in tertiary institutions would be an advantage;
- Good interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail;
- A high level of self-motivation and the ability to multitask and work effectively both as a team player and independently to meet tight schedules; and
- An excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (both Cantonese and Putonghua).
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.
Candidates have less experience will be considered for Student Development Officer.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
