Senior Technical Officer in the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 533007)
The Role
The appointee will lead the IT support team, supervise front-line IT support staff and provide IT services to all Faculty staff and students. Additional responsibilities include supporting Faculty events, managing the setup, maintenance, and inventory of IT equipment and facilities, and performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Qualities
Applicants should hold a recognized degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, along with at least 5 years of relevant IT support experience. A high level of proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese is required, as well as strong interpersonal, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Candidates should be self-motivated and possess a strong knowledge of computer hardware and software across various platforms (Windows, MacOS, Linux, etc.). Knowledge and experience in supporting audio/visual (AV) systems in classrooms are also essential. Applicants with supervisory experience would be considered an advantage.
What We Offer
The appointment will be made on fixed-term full-time contract for 2 years, to commence as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary.
