Applications are invited for appointment as Administrative Assistant I (holding the functional title of Senior Manager) in the School of Computing and Data Science (Ref:532737), to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
With the establishment of the School of Computing and Data Science, we are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking team leader to spearhead talent acquisition and academic development, in alignment with the School’s strategic goals.
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree and bring at least 10 years of relevant experience—ideally in higher education with a focus on academic human resources. Fluency in English and Chinese (including Putonghua) is essential, along with strong digital proficiency and proven experience in event or project management.
We are looking for a self-motivated professional with a creative approach to problem-solving and strong communication skills. The ideal candidate should demonstrate the ability to work independently while excelling in multitasking and strategic planning, with a proactive approach to driving innovative initiatives.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing academic human resources and accommodation-related functions, including the recruitment and appointment of professoriate, academic-related staff, and key personnel, as well as planning and implementing the relocation of the School. They will collaborate closely with senior leadership and academic divisions to meet organizational development needs and to formulate strategic plans for special human capital and accommodation initiatives. Key responsibilities include managing the full employee cycle—from recruitment and onboarding to performance evaluation, and offboarding, alongside providing secretarial support to various related committees. In addition, the role will involve leading employee relations and engagement programs.
Beyond talent and accommodation management, the appointee will also contribute to broader administrative functions and strategic initiatives across various areas, as required by the School Director or the School Secretary.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointments will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 15% of the basic salary for AAI.
The University only accepts online applications for the above post. Applicants should apply online and upload an up-to-date CV. Review of applications will start as soon as possible and continue until August 30, 2025, or until the post is filled, whichever is earlier.
