Art & Lifestyle Merchandiser
We are looking for a dynamic and style-savvy Art & Lifestyle Merchandiser to curate and manage the retail section of our gallery space. This role is ideal for someone with a sharp eye for design, a strong sense of cultural trends, and solid experience in lifestyle or luxury retail, with the ability to balance both creative curation and operational execution.
About Us:
Our gallery blends contemporary art with cultural experiences, and we are expanding our space to include a curated retail offering. We envision a boutique-style concept store featuring design objects, books, artist editions, and lifestyle items that reflect the spirit of our programming and audience.
- Curate and source art and lifestyle products in line with our brand identity
- Manage inventory, retail displays, and merchandising strategy
- Oversee operational aspects of retail merchandising, including vendor relationships, ordering schedules, product sourcing, and delivery coordination
- Work closely with artists, designers, and collaborators on exclusive products and limited editions, including discussing rights, image licensing, and IP matters as needed
- Research and monitor retail trends to identify new ideas, collaborations, and product categories
- Run and refresh the gallery’s website and online store, ensuring a seamless digital experience that complements the in-person offering
- Support marketing, storytelling, and communications efforts tied to the retail concept
- Passionate about art, design, and cultural trends
- 1–3 years of experience in merchandising, lifestyle retail, or luxury branding
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable with logistics and planning
- Proactive, creative, and in tune with emerging ideas and consumer behaviour
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a small, energetic team
- Experience working with artists, galleries, or creative studios
- Visual merchandising and product display experience
- Understanding of e-commerce platforms, retail tech tools, and digital storytelling
- Familiarity with IP and licensing matters related to product development
