Position
The Assistant Education Manager at Benefit Cosmetics, based in Hong Kong and reporting to the Education Manager, supports the design and implementation of local training programs, assists in the adaptation of corporate strategies, and contributes to the development of yearly training plans. This role is pivotal in employee engagement through effective training initiatives. It involves assisting in the delivery of training, supporting budget management, and collaborating with commercial teams. Additionally, the Assistant Education Manager aids in digital content creation for, Instagram and supports live demonstrations, and assists with marketing and customer activities.
Key skills include support in leadership, creativity, communication, and content creation. This role requires 5+ years of experience, some supervisory skills, and a passion for the beauty industry and social media.
Job responsibilities
- Training Development and Implementation Support
- Assist in the design and implementation of local training programs.
- Support the adaptation of corporate training strategies to local needs.
- Contribute to the development of yearly strategic training plans, aligning them with business objectives.
- Assist in the translation and updating of training programs and tools.
- Support the production of training materials for in-house and in-field training: this includes developing retail and education tools to provide engaging classroom training and field coaching
- Training Delivery and Execution Assistance
- Assist in the delivery of induction and training programs.
- Drive brand values and philosophy through all education and development activities
- Support the management and tracking of the training department budget.
- Help implement individual curriculum programs for staff development.
- Liaise with commercial teams for retailer staff training under supervision.
- Monitor training efficiency and track performance with guidance, closely monitoring KPIs and preparing reports.
- Help build and maintain partnerships with retailer training teams.
- Assist in new store openings with training support.
- Educate and coach the frontline team on how to drive sales through professional knowledge and excellent service to customers
- Content Creation and Digital Strategy Assistance
- Support the digital content strategy for social media platforms.
- Assist in creating, shooting, and editing engaging content for TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
- Help host live demonstrations and Q&A sessions on social media.
- Collaborate with the PR & Communications team for editorial features.
- Provide support and input to content creators.
- Develop content for various markets and retailers with direction.
- Stay updated with industry trends and optimize content production with guidance.
- Relationship Building, Market Intelligence, and Media Engagement
- Help build relationships with influencers and collaborate on content creation.
- Maintain comprehensive assets on all education and content materials relating to product knowledge, sales techniques, promotion programs, and system or procedural requirements
- Maintain up-to-date progress files of all training efforts and provide monthly qualitative & quantitative feedback and collect market intelligence, skin care trends and competitive landscape
- Assist in coordinating events and TV opportunities.
- Support responses to media interviews via various channels.
- Event Hosting and Brand Representation
- Assist in hosting VIP appointments for media and influencers.
- Support media and influencer events and in-store workshops.
- Embody Benefit’s brand DNA in all communications.
- Support as a brand ambassador for marketing and customer activities to deliver the brand values and excellent service
- Assist all aspects of yearly large-scale core product training seminars. Including, but not limited to concept development, execution of training tools and coordination with vendors
- Workplace Health and Safety
- Ensure compliance with work health and safety policies.
- Provide guidance and support on safety matters under supervision.
- Collaborate with Regional peers to develop best practices and drive team performance
Profile
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role in planning and conducting training programs both in classroom and field coaching, preferably within retail, beauty, luxury or service industry
- Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task; manage and be accountable for schedule and budget
- Team player with strong interpersonal and motivational skills
- Proven Leader with flexibility and ability to function in a fast-paced environment
- Strong ability to storytell brand, brand values and products in a compelling manner to increase brand love
- Possess strong and effective oral and written communication skills. Must be able to present with authority the latest skin care and makeup tips and trends, potentially relating to brands like Fenty Beauty, Fenty Skin and Ole Henriksen Skincare
- Fluent in both written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin
