Are you passionate about fostering the next generation of innovators and changemakers? The Entrepreneurship and Innovation Centre (EIC), a vibrant hub within the School of Business, is looking for a dynamic and strategic leader to join our team as an Assistant Manager.
You will play a pivotal role in designing and executing programs that inspire and equip our students with the skills to turn their visionary ideas into reality. If you are a natural leader with a drive for creating impact, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Drive Strategic Impact: Collaborate with the EIC Director to bring our vision to life, shaping and executing strategic plans that position the Centre as a leader in entrepreneurship education;
- Lead and Innovate: Take ownership of the EIC's portfolio of activities, from high-energy competitions and workshops to insightful seminars. You'll manage projects from concept to completion, ensuring excellence and innovation at every step;
- Build a Thriving Community: Act as a connector, building and nurturing strong relationships with students, faculty, alumni, and industry partners;
- Mentor and Lead: Inspire and guide a dedicated team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture; and
- Ensure Operational Excellence: Oversee the Centre's budget, reporting, and quality assurance to ensure we deliver outstanding value to our community.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree and at least 7 years of relevant experience. A background in entrepreneurship, innovation, or a related field is a strong asset;
- Exceptional communication skills, with fluency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
- Proven leadership ability with a talent for motivating teams and stakeholders;
- A highly organized, self-motivated, and collaborative mindset with a keen eye for detail;
- A passion for the entrepreneurial world and a desire to make a difference; and
- Proficiency in digital tools and website management is a plus.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to participate in a written test.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed term contract of one year. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to performance review, mutual agreement and availability of funding.
