Buyer

Responsibilities

• Assist in maximizing sales potential and profits in accordance with the business plan

• Find potential suppliers, source new products, and review existing assortments to enhance the product portfolio and ensure that products remain competitive

• Negotiate with suppliers to establish competitive prices and terms and maintain a mutually beneficial relationship

• Ensure inventory control and deliver effective merchandise ordering and replenishment in order to achieve the GP target and sell-through rate

• Keep update the market trends and reacting to changes in customer demand

• Assess operational / financial risks of current and potential supply opportunities

• Provide reporting and diagnostics on areas of sourcing, supply and spend

• Liaise with vendors and Marketing team in developing marketing strategies and promotional events

Requirements

• Higher Diploma in Purchasing / Merchandising or related disciplines

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a fast-paced environment, preferably in Home Appliance field with extended network.

• Previous exposure in reputable chain-store operations will be advantageous

• Proven negotiation skills and strong analytical skills

• Excellent communication skills both internally with operational departments and external suppliers

• Well-organized, logical thinking, detail-minded, energetic with business acumen

• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese

• Proficient in MS Office applications and Chinese Processing

• Candidates with less experience will be considered for the position of Assistant Buyer

Working Hour:

• Alternate Saturdays 長短週工作

• Monday to Friday 09:00 – 18:00; Alternate Saturday_ 09:00 – 16:00
