Clerk II (holding the functional title of Executive Assistant) in the School of Modern Languages and Cultures (Ref.: 532848) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 to 3 years’ relevant work experience, preferably in the tertiary education sector. They should have excellent command of written and spoken English; knowledge of Chinese (Cantonese and/or Putonghua) and language(s) other than English and Chinese preferable; effective inter-personal and communication skills; outgoing personality and confidence in dealing with people at all levels; the ability to work independently and in a team; a strong sense of responsibility and be attentive to details. Candidates with high proficiency in IT and use of webpage/graphic design software will receive priority consideration.
The appointee will provide a wide range of administrative and clerical support on undergraduate curricula, research postgraduate student matters and day-to-day enquiries; classroom and venue booking for courses and events; assisting in School’s Data Centre administration, assistance in supporting school events, academic activities and award administration; and perform any other duties as assigned. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to complete a written test and participate in an interview.
