Job Purpose:
The core purpose of this role is to manage the Hong Kong Red Cross (HKRC)’s Trusts and Foundations & Major donors' portfolio including those already supporting our work and to explore new funding opportunities. S/he will formulate fundraising strategies through the departmental schedule and action plans to achieve annual fundraising targets for the Major Giving team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of Trusts and Foundations prospects and donors to develop and maintain solid, long-standing partnerships to grow and maximize income aligned with the overall objectives and plans.
- Maintain and develop Trusts and foundations' rolling pipeline; identify and cultivate new business opportunities.
- Write applications and reports to trusts, foundations, and statutory bodies.
- Conduct and coordinate detailed prospect research on Trusts and Foundations that support related areas of work
- Plan, monitor, evaluate and report the processes and systems to deliver analytic reports to the donors.
- Utilize events, digital engagement, and other stewardship methods to provide opportunities to thank current trust supporters and engage new prospects.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, project management or related disciplines
- Minimum 3 years post-graduation and relevant working experience in business management, fundraising or related fields. NGO-related experience is highly preferred.
- Experience in the grant application and bid-writing process.
- A proven track record of using initiative to secure major grants and donations.
- Experience in producing inspiring and engaging presentations and literature for a range of stakeholders.
- Work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects and maintaining excellent attention to detail.
- Mature personality, analytical thinking, client-oriented mindset, good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
- Good command of Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel
- Less experiences will be considered as Assistant Resource Development Manager
