We’re currently looking for a high caliber professional to join Ageas Asia as Digital Workplace IT Specialist, based in our Hong Kong Regional Office. The job holder will be reporting hierarchically to the Director, IT & Security, Asia.
In this role you’re expected to:
This role is responsible to serve as Level 2 support for Microsoft 365 modern workplace applications at the regional office and oversees the performance of the outsourced IT service provider, including the on-site service desk agent. The incumbent should be familiar with regional IT operations, capable of reviewing the performance of the IT service providers and ensuring a seamless digital workplace experience. Responsibilities also include preparing, submitting, and tracking invoices for IT-related products and services.
M365 Digital Workspace
Provide first and second-line support for Microsoft 365 applications, including Exchange Online, Outlook,- Point Online, Teams, OneDrive, Copilot, and Power Platform.
- Manage user accounts, access rights, license provisioning, and recertification.
- Troubleshoot issues related to connectivity, authentication, and performance across Microsoft and integrated third-party cloud apps.
- Assist with Microsoft 365 tenant setup, administration, migration, and deployment projects.
- Manage Intune (MAM/MDM) for both corporate and BYOD devices.
- Support hybrid and cloud identity management (e.g., Entra ID).
- Review and maintain security policies within the Microsoft 365 environment.
- Apply networking knowledge (IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi-Fi troubleshooting).
- Stay current with Microsoft tools and conduct evaluations to support business needs.
IT Operations
- Oversee daily IT operations managed by outsourced service providers.
- Create and maintain SOPs, runbooks, technical documentation, and knowledge base.
- Optimize service desk workflows, SLAs, and escalation processes.
- Collaborate with the Security team to integrate cybersecurity into IT operations.
- Support internal and external audits with required documentation and reporting.
- Act as Business Continuity Coordinator, ensuring readiness and documentation of recovery procedures.
- Participate in planning, testing, and execution of BCP and DRP.
- Serve as a member of the Crisis Management Team, supporting incident response and recovery.
- Stay informed on crisis scenarios like system outages, infrastructure failures, and cyber incidents.
- Support incident, problem, and change management processes.
- Contribute to post-incident reviews and business impact assessments.
- Manage IT-related invoices, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
- Flexibility to provide after-hours and weekend support when needed.
As a successful candidate you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:
Academic Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in workplace support with focus on Microsoft 365 technologies.
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate certification preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Microsoft 365 administration including Intune (Mobile Application Management and Mobile Device Management)
- Entra ID and Identity Management
- Windows desktop operating systems
- PowerShell and/or Python scripting
- Cloud application support
- Remote support tools
- Proficiency in Windows 10/11 operating systems
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Soft Skills:
- Good customer service orientation
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
