Executive Officer (24250293)
The Academic Quality Support Section is seeking a self-motivated individual for the position of Executive Officer. The appointee is expected to provide administrative support and perform duties in various functional areas of the Section, including but not restricted to:
Responsibilities:
- Supporting the preparation and follow-up activities for institutional reviews and external quality audits conducted by the University Grants Committee such as the QAC quality audit;
- Planning administrative and logistic support in academic quality assurance mechanisms such as Academic Consultation Panel Visits, Departmental Academic Advisors Scheme, and Programme Accreditation exercises;
- Providing secretarial services to relevant University committees, task forces, working groups, etc.;
- Supporting the review and implementation of academic quality assurance policies and procedures for ongoing enhancement; and
- Coordinating the administration of the University-wide Course Evaluation exercises.
Requirements:
- A recognised degree plus at least five years of relevant work experience in the tertiary education sector;
- Experience in supporting academic quality assurance projects is desirable;
- Self-motivation with a positive work attitude, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to cope with changes and work under tight timelines are essential; and
- A good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua) and proficiency in IT applications skills are required.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
