Applications are invited for appointment as Head of Teaching and Learning (at the rank of Assistant Registrar) in the LKS Faculty of Medicine (Ref.: 532457) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two- to three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a good university degree with at least 10 years’ team leadership experience in the higher education sector or a public/quasi-public organization. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing academic curricula, with expertise in curriculum development and enhancement, pedagogical design, assessment and examinations, quality assurance, education partnerships, and the oversight of teaching & learning facilities. Experience in organizing accreditation visits, implementing education technology & multimedia learning initiatives, and liaising with academic departments is highly desirable. We seek exceptional strategic thinkers with excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese, sound decision-making ability, and a demonstrated capacity to work independently and solve complex problems. Additional experience in leading special projects in a university context will also be advantageous.
The appointee will head the Faculty Office’s Teaching and Learning (T&L) team, overseeing all curricular affairs for our undergraduate programmes, including both professional and non-professional degrees in clinical sciences and health sciences. Occasional work outside normal office hours and on weekends may be required. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a written test and an interview.
