About the job
Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong within Food & Beverage Service Division in Hong Kong, the Headwaiter/Headwaitress is responsible for supervising the daily operation and ensuring that the services provided are up to the hotel’s s set standards. The Headwaiter/Headwaitress reports to the Restaurant Manager.
As Headwaiter/Headwaitress, you will be responsible for the following duties:
Supervise the food products and services provided by the department
Help with the training plans and carry out training sessions
Maintain staff discipline and cooperation
Inspect the cleanliness of all service equipment and side boards
Prepare the duty roster for the service staff
As Headwaiter/Headwaitress, we expect from you:
At least 5 years of experience in Food & Beverage and with minimum 2 years experience at supervisory level. Experience in 5-star hotel is highly preferred
Computer literature including Microsoft Excel and Word
Fluent in English and Cantonese, knowledge of Mandarin is an advantage
Strong leadership an organizational skills and excellent communication skills
Good customer service skills and able to work under pressure
