Details of the Division and Team:
Deutsche Bank Research publishes a wide range of notes including on equities, economics, currencies, credit, rates, strategy, and a variety of other investment products and thematic topics. Deutsche Bank’s Supervisory Analyst team reviews these notes and ensures compliance with regulatory and internal DB policy requirements, as well as facilitates the publication and clearance of these notes. The individual will sit within Research in the globally integrated Business Controls & Supervisory Analyst team. This role involves review of written research as set out in FINRA rules (esp Rule 2210) regarding written communication with the public. Supervisory Analysts (SA) balance risk management (regulatory, reputational and financial risk) with commerciality (analysts want to be first to market). Additionally, the role will involve overseeing product governance of the regional APAC Research product.

Your key responsibilities:
Evaluate reports, make independent business decisions, implement necessary changes to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and in-house policies.
Oversee the product governance framework in APAC for Research and work closely with multiple stakeholders including Research Analysts and Management, Business Management, Control Functions and other divisions relating to the day-to-day functioning of the business
Ensure the adherence of appropriate policies and processes in APAC including the Research Independence policy
Monitor workflow and prioritize documents for review
Communicate effectively with research analysts and product management team.
Work closely with control room, compliance and legal in identifying potential business conflicts in published research
Comfortably multi-task on various IT platforms
Keep up to date with regulatory changes
Role is required to be performed primarily on-site at the International Commerce Centre. Relevant health and safety requirements may apply.
Your skills and experience:
3+ years working as a supervisory analyst (Series 16 qualified)
Strong written and oral communications and interpersonal skills (native English speaker level
Firm grasp of regulatory requirements: how to implement them in research and explain them to analysts
Team player with the ability to prioritize in a high pressure environment
Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle several tasks simultaneously
Sound and balanced judgment and the confidence to implement changes where necessary
Flexible to adapting to changing business needs
Series S4 a bonus
Research analyst/associate experience and/or previous experience working in a Business Controls role is a plus
