About the job
Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong within Information Systems Department in Hong Kong, the I.T. Supervisor is responsible for day-to-day colleague IT support and second line guest support. The I.T. Supervisor reports to the IT&T Manager.
As I.T. Supervisor, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications
- Monitor and maintain the computer systems and networks of an organisation
- Troubleshooting workstations problems and diagnosing and solving hardware/software faults
- Providing support, including procedural documentation
- Supporting the roll-out of new applications
- Responding within reasonable time to all support calls
- Prioritizing and managing many open cases at one time
- Provide full range of network support and administration services including hardware and software, LAN/WAN infrastructure, IP Telephony, systems and applications
- Maintain an updated log of all issues
- Liaise with local vendors and suppliers as required to meet the requirements and requests of our operations and guests
- Communicate all important information to management and colleagues
- Other activities as deemed appropriate by the IT Manager and Cluster Director of IT.
As I.T. Supervisor, we expect from you:
- Diploma holder of relevant disciplines or above
- Minimum 3 years’ experience of the same capacity in international 5-star luxury hotels.
- Well organized and structured
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, open mind of different culture, friendly, approachable and sociable
- Motivational with enthusiastic character with excellent listening skills
- Good command in English, knowledge in other languages is an advantage.
