The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) is charged with the responsibility for maintaining the stability and integrity of the monetary and financial systems of Hong Kong. There is now an excellent opportunity for eligible candidates to apply for the following position:
Manager (Communications)
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee media relations, handle media enquiries and manage event logistics
- Advise and counsel line departments on communication strategies and issues
- Plan and manage media for large scale international thought leadership conferences
- Collaborate with senior executives on speaking opportunities with media presence
- Conduct media monitoring, analyse coverage and identify potential issues
- Contribute to the HKMA's communication strategies and various response plans
Requirements
- University degree, preferably in journalism, communications, economics, international finance / banking or related fields
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience in journalism, public affairs, or communication related fields
- Experience in team management and financial journalism an advantage
- Good interpersonal, language and presentation skills
- Good team player, fast learner, proactive and versatile
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, including Cantonese and Putonghua
Conditions of service
- Appointment will be made on fixed contract terms
