Role Introduction
Reports to: Head of Opportunities and Risks
The role is part of our Group Opportunities and Risks (GOR) department, a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team with a vision to future-proof the business by embracing a forward-looking mindset. Our goal is to successfully execute business strategies, pursue new opportunities, and effectively manage our biggest risks.
As the Opportunities and Risks Analyst, you will support that vision by maintaining an effective risk management framework, researching into emerging trends and risks to the business, and general administrative support.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the management of an analytical framework to assess top corporate risks, monitor changes in risk profiles, and maintain the corporate risk register
- Organize and provide support for risk workshops and scenario planning exercises, and conduct post-workshop analysis
- Work closely with risk and action owners across the business to develop mitigation strategies and ensure progress on implementation
- Conduct research on key risk topics and generate relevant insights
- Assist in preparing reports for executive committees and senior management, including compiling supporting documents and data
- Maintain a risk champion network to facilitate and strengthen risk ownership within business units
- Support initiatives aimed at enhancing risk culture across the organization
- Build a network of contacts across the Group to gather intelligence
- Monitor industry and global developments to identify emerging trends and assess their potential impact
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in risk management or other relevant business areas
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Well-organised, with the ability to present information and data clearly, logically, and concisely
- Analytical mindset with strong numeracy and logical reasoning skills
- Fast learner with a curious mind and enthusiasm for learning and researching new topics
- Proactive in identifying opportunities for process improvement and enhancing work efficiency
- Fluent in written and spoken English; proficiency in Chinese is a plus
