As a Paralegal / Legal Executive reporting to the Associate General Counsel, you’ll support a wide range of legal functions - spanning corporate governance and entity management, product and regulatory expansion, to strategic cross-functional initiatives. You’ll be a key contributor to Reap’s in-house legal team, with the opportunity to shape the way legal supports the business and drive strategic impact in a fast-paced, purpose-driven start-up environment.
Specifically, you'll be responsible for the following:
Corporate Compliance: Maintain entity compliance and manage corporate records for group entities in multiple jurisdictions across APAC, LATAM and more.
Legal Research : Conduct legal research and help map regulatory frameworks to support product launches and market expansion initiatives.
Legal Operations : Create and maintain templates, trackers, repositories and knowledge bases; identify opportunities to streamline internal workflows and implement process improvements through legal technology.
Licensing and Regulatory : Support license applications, renewals and ongoing regulatory compliance matters across multiple jurisdictions; assist in drafting responses to regulators as and when required through close collaborations with internal stakeholders and external advisors.
Contract Review and Management : Review, draft and negotiate commercial contracts to support business needs; improve contract lifestyle management and repository systems to ensure accurate record-keeping.
Intellectual Property and Trademarks Management : Manage the group’s global IP portfolio; support trademark filings and maintain trademark prosecution files.
What We're Looking For
LLB or equivalent degree.
2+ years experience as a Paralegal / Legal Executive. In-house experience in a start-up environment and/or fintech or web3 industry is a plus.
Strong project management and organization skills with exceptional attention to detail and thoughtfulness. Ability to juggle competing priorities and keep legal projects on track, while coordinating with stakeholders and following through to completion of each project.
Comfortable taking ownership of responsibilities, working independently and navigating ambiguity.
Demonstrates proactivity and resourcefulness in improving workflows and introducing projects that will add value to the legal team or the company.
Interest in and basic understanding of payments, financial products and virtual assets regulatory regimes is a plus.
