Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in collaborative multi-omic research projects relating to gut microbiota and vascular and brain health
- Involve in the design, implementation, and testing of statistical and AI software for analysing large healthcare-related data, including data from electronic health records, medical images, and sensor data from wearable devices
- Responsible for writing up results, training and supervising students and junior staff, preparing manuscripts, drafting and submitting competitive internal and external grants
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- A Ph.D. degree with a strong research background in bioinformatics, epidemiology, biostatistics, genomics, big data analytics, or artificial intelligence analytics
- Be familiar with conducting analysis with different types of data, including metagenomics sequencing, genomics, proteomics and metabolomics data
- A good command of written and spoken English
- Strong communication skills
- A demonstrated track record of publishing academic research papers
- Self-motivated, hardworking, and able to work well in an interdisciplinary team
