About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Network Engineer to join our APAC team supporting electronic market infrastructure. In this role, you will ensure the stability, performance, and security of our network and trading systems, while providing hands-on support to business users and application teams across the region.
You will work in a highly dynamic environment, supporting mission-critical systems, coordinating with global teams, and ensuring compliance with IT governance and security guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively monitor, maintain, and optimize network infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance for electronic markets.
- Oversee installation, configuration, and support of network services, servers, and related infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network, system, and application issues with efficiency and accuracy.
- Document network hardware, software, and telecom circuits, maintaining an up-to-date inventory.
- Support incident management, change management, and problem resolution following ITIL best practices.
- Deliver proximity IT support services, including reporting and tracking service metrics.
- Coordinate with vendors and remote teams for technical troubleshooting, system recovery, and project delivery.
- Provide support for Linux/RHEL systems, X Window environments, desktop software, and end-user devices.
- Ensure compliance with IT security guidelines, regulatory requirements, and global IT governance policies.
- Participate in APAC data center projects and occasional regional travel.
- Provide on-call/morning shift, weekend, and holiday support as required.
Key Competencies
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in network services
- Strong knowledge of Linux/RHEL system administration in trading or business application environments.
- Familiar with x86 hardware, networking peripherals, and data center setup.
- Scripting skills (Bash, Python, Perl) for automation and troubleshooting.
- Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- Knowledge of ITIL framework (Incident & Change Management).
- Excellent problem-solving, root cause analysis, and vendor coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently in a high-pressure and fast-paced environment.
