Term Lecturer

(a)

To perform teaching duties including supervision of students’ projects and fieldwork placement;

(b)

To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration;

(c)

To develop programme curriculum, teaching, learning and assessment materials;

(d)

To assist in validation and accreditation of programmes;

(e)

To plan, organize and deliver in-service and life-long learning courses in Vocational and professional education and training (VPET);

(f)

To participate in networking with industry / industrial attachments, departmental projects and functions including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions;

(g)

To coordinate development of promotional materials, publications, videos, websites and other digital contents;

(h)

To plan and execute marketing activities, such as digital marketing campaigns, advertising plans across multiple media and organising seminars; and

(i)

To provide administrative support in marketing, public relations, alumni relations, corporate communication, media affairs, publishing.

(a)

A relevant recognised degree or professional qualification, preferably with Rehabilitation/Occupation therapy/ Radiotherapy/ Nursing/ Pet Care and wellness; preferably with a post-graduate qualification;

(b)

At least 3 years’ relevant teaching and /or industry experience;

(c)

Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese; and

(d)

Good records of linkage with the industry/ professional bodies.

Candidates with less experience may be considered for the post of Term Assistant Lecturer at the rank of Teaching Associate.

(2)

The initial posting is in IVE(Kwai Chung). The appointee(s) may be posted to other work location(s) to suit the operational needs.

(3)

Shortlisted candidates will be required to attend a written assessment.

(4)

The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and/or outside campus.
