Position Responsibilities:
Test Analyst (Quality Assurance):
- Understand business needs to better test the new or existing technology and workflow to the agreed exit criteria for the business.
- Participate in client and project meetings to understand the requirements, propose solutions, find and diagnose issues, and encourage stakeholder engagement.
- Plan and execute:
- Create detailed test plan and approach.
- Create test scenarios and test cases from requirements.
- Create traceability matrix linking all requirements to test cases.
- Extensive defect management tracking and solutioning.
- Generate testing progress report for management weekly (or daily if necessary).
- Execute Systems Integration and User Acceptance Testing.
- Provide support to business users with Model Office Testing ensuring smooth operational readiness.
- Strictly follow all testing governance.
- Proven skillset with role as a key project member to be able to work effectively and collaboratively with the project team, carefully managing expectations of internal stakeholders.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with technical understanding.
- Strong test methodology to elicit, document, communicate and demonstrate the functional testing results.
- Act as a bridge between the business analyst and developers to ensure correct test coverage are documented for audit purposes.
- Drive and provide training/guidance to Operations personnel for training purposes.
- Work closely with IT teams and vendors to support system changes, integrations, and data migration activities.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management:
- Able to liaise between internal teams (Operations, Compliance, Technology, Finance) and vendor.
- Ensure test coverage of all regulatory and contractual requirements are met as part of the transition.
Regulatory & Compliance Oversight:
- Test coverage will include compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., FCA, SEC, ESMA, TDCC, AML/KYC regulations) throughout the transition process as required.
- Collaborate with Compliance and Legal teams to ensure all due diligence and reporting testing requirements are fulfilled.
Required Qualifications:
- Preferred : Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Test QA Analyst within asset management, investment management, MPF and ORSO schemes or financial services.
- Strong knowledge of custodial operations, fund structures, investor services, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in working on large-scale operational transitions or custodial migrations.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams, external vendors, and regulators.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in process mapping and change management.
- Familiarity with custodial systems, investor servicing platforms, and data migration methodologies.
- Hands-on experience in all testing aspects with UAT, defect management and post-migration support.
- Strong skills, ideally with experience using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.
- Fluent in English, and Cantonese preferred (not essential) with excellent verbal and written communication skills
