Established in 2000, the College of International Education (CIE) is a self-funded unit of the Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU), offering full-time Associate Degree (AD), Higher Diploma (HD) and Undergraduate (UG) Honours Degree Programmes at the Shek Mun (Shatin) campus. It is a major education providing unit of the School of Continuing Education (SCE), one of the seven Faculties/Schools of HKBU. CIE currently enrolls over 3,500 students and is committed to the University’s mission of providing quality whole-person higher education with a Christian heritage. Assistant Executive Officer (Ref. No.: 25260098)
The appointee will mainly be responsible for providing support in the areas of venue booking, class operation, student facilities and counter services on the CIE Shek Mun Campus. The appointee will also be required to offer logistical assistance for events, coordinate with campus users regarding venue setup and service requests; perform administrative duties such as maintaining booking charts, preparing utilization reports, printing of exam papers and other ad hoc duties as assigned. He/She may need to work flexibly beyond office hours when necessary.
Minimum Requirements:
- (i) Holder of Associate Degree / Higher Diploma with at least one year of work experience; OR (ii) Possession of HKCEE 5 passes including English Language (at least Grade C if Syllabus A/Level 2 from 2007) and Chinese Language (at least Level 2 from 2007), or at least 5 subjects attaining Level 2 in HKDSE including English Language and Chinese Language with more work experience;
- Good team spirit, self-motivated and meticulous;
- Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese;
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Word; and
- Hands-on experience in the operation and management of booking system/ applications will be an advantage.
The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract ending in August 2027. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
