The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) is a prestigious international research university established in 1991. Currently, HKUST is hiring an Assistant Human Resources Officer to support the HR Systems team. The role involves:

  • Maintaining employee records
  • Compiling data for operational and management reporting
  • Assisting in IT project implementation
  • Handling user inquiries
  • Performing other assigned duties

Applicants should have:

  • An associate degree or a bachelor’s degree with 2-3 years of relevant experience in a Human Resources setting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A good level of IT knowledge
  • The ability to work independently to meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience working with technical teams on system-related changes, including user acceptance testing
  • Knowledge or experience in HR system development, data analysis/reporting, and supporting HR projects (will be advantageous)

(Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
