The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority welcomes exceptional talent with a passion to realise the vision and mission of making the West Kowloon Cultural District a prime local and international destination for arts, culture and entertainment.
(This is a fixed-term contract position of 2-year with possibility for renewal subject to organisational needs and individual performance.)
You will be responsible for:
implementing a wide spectrum of communications initiatives to build, enhance and protect the brand reputation of the West Kowloon Cultural District (WestK) and the Authority;
supporting and executing PR events, and Marketing and Publicity initiatives of the District in particular for the Hong Kong Palace Museum;
building and maintaining good rapport with media or influencers from Hong Kong, the Mainland and overseas; organising press conferences and familiarisation visits; handling media enquiries, interviews and shooting; conducting media monitoring reports and coverage analysis; managing media and stakeholder database;
preparing marketing and communications collaterals, including press releases, fact sheets, presentation materials, social media content and completing other writing assignments if required;
assisting in crisis communications and issues handling including but not limited to message development, media handling, social media monitoring and internal and external stakeholders liaison;
coordinating with working partners from arts and cultural institutions, Government departments, public organisations and media for joint marketing and PR collaborations;
working with external agencies, outsourced vendors and business partners on marketing and communications initiatives as necessary; and
driving and executing ad-hoc communications projects when required.
You should:
possess a recognised university degree in journalism, marketing, communications, public affairs, politics/international relations or related disciplines;
have at least two years of relevant and solid experience in public relations, media relations, crisis communications and issues management, corporate communications, marketing and event management;
demonstrate a good understanding about media landscape, political and social environment and issues in Hong Kong; sound knowledge of Mainland and international media and social media is a plus;
be able to execute projects independently with guidance to achieve the communications goals;
possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, be a good team player with creativity and dynamism, be able to multi-task and meet tight deadlines, and work under pressure;
showcase a creative mind and story-telling skills. Be passionate about arts and culture;
possess excellent spoken and written English and Chinese; be proficient in Putonghua; and
have experience in Photography, video-editing and online marketing is a plus.
