Job Purpose:
The core purpose of this role is to provide leadership for Community Health Service (Chronic Disease Management Service for the Elderly). S/he will work closely with the Senior Manager and the Service Head to lead the development and execution of the team to support the HKRC in delivering its humanitarian services to fulfill its vision and mission. S/he will ensure effective implementation of the strategies and drive implementation and action to achieve the departmental goals to improve the wellness of vulnerable people in an effective and efficient way.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and initiate the development and execution of the team's implementation plan and review in meeting the changing humanitarian needs in community under the direction of corporate strategies.
- Manage and steer the team in planning, monitoring, evaluation and reporting the services for ensuring the set outcome and output could be achieved in an effective and efficient way.
- Manage and monitor the service quality and operation of the team and in compliance with the policies, regulations and guidelines of the Agency.
- Build a strong team with required skills, knowledge and attitude to execute the planned work to ensure the quality of service.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with service partners.
- Facilitate communication with donors/funding bodies/supporters/advisors for soliciting resources to support the operation and development of the services.
- Undertake any other duties assigned by Supervisor(s) from time to time.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 7 years' post-graduation working experience in elderly and community service, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Registered Social Worker qualification is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Good knowledge of service delivery and case/project management and familiarity with support services for chronic diseases is an advantage.
- Strong leadership, people management and coordination skills with the ability to motivate and build a high-performing team.
- Good analytical, coordination and interpersonal skills, mature and able to work independently and under pressure.
- Mature personality, strategic minded with vision, strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Excellent command of both written and oral English, Chinese/Cantonese/Putonghua.
