Job Description
- Draft high-quality correspondence primarily related to claims, delays, and additional costs.
- Assist the QS or Planning Consultants in identifying time and cost events that impact the construction process.
- Research, prepare, and file claim documents.
- Collaborate with the project team to maintain all necessary records.
- Work independently and collaboratively as part of a team when required.
- interact confidently and maintain a professional demeanour with clients.
- Be willing to work on-site at the client's office.
Qualifications
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or equivalent
- 3 years experience in the construction industry, particularly in claims management and dispute resolution is advantage
- A willingness to learn about NEC 4 contract provisions, procedures, and implementation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Some experience with building works or civil engineering contractors as a Quantity Surveyor or Engineer is advantageous.
- Previous experience in preparing claims, managing compensable events, handling extensions of time, processing variations, pricing extra work, and negotiating is a plus.
- Proficiency in both verbal and written communication in English and Cantonese.
- Ability to work independently.
