Assistant Purchasing Manager (25260135)
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Senior Purchasing Manager in the management of the procurement function;
- Ensure proper internal control and governance of the procurement function;
- Conduct procurement analyses and compile management reports; and
- Liaise with internal departments and suppliers for implementing cost-effective purchasing initiatives or special projects.
Requirements:
- A recognised bachelor’s degree or above with at least 5 years relevant working experience of which three years in supervisory role is essential;
- Proven experience in a sizeable procurement organisation is a must, and prior engagement in the marketing, hospitality or insurance sectors is preferred;
- Professional qualification in procurement or supply chain management is a definite advantage;
- Possess a can-do attitude, pleasant personality, impeccable integrity, excellent communication and problem-solving skills;
- Be well-organised, proactive and service-oriented; and
- Able to work both independently and as a good team player.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract for two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.
