Assistant Underwriting Manager (General Insurance)
Responsibilities:
Create & review underwriting plan and manage risk exposure through delegated authority and reinsurance.
Review, analyze and underwrite Motor, P&C and A&H Insurance products for profit and growth.
Provide technical support on treaty renewal system updates and daily operation.
Underwriting general business, inward facultative and treaty inward reinsurance business.
Reinsurance treaty renewal data preparing, slip wording review, terms comparing and replacement report.
Product development and enhancement, management and marketing , customer research and product analysis.
Conduct regular credit control.
Keep track of premium production against budget and review exception reports to ensure compliance.
Propose business and underwriting strategy at a view to achieve business target.
Establish and maintain strong network with clients and Business Producers .
Support Department Head to deliver high standard of customer service and maximize internal operation efficiency of the department.
Identify training requirements and co-ordinate development plans for team members.
Support and participate in ad-hoc projects as assigned.
Requirements:
University Degree holder or equivalent (Mainland graduates are welcomed).
Professional insurance qualification such as ACII or ANZIIF-Senior Associate.
10 years or above experience in underwriting, reinsurance and client servicing.
Mature, independent, self-motivated with strong interpersonal, communication and management skills
Proactive, assertive and result driven.
Well knowledge in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Proficient in written and spoken English and Cantonese. Proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage.
Immediately available is highly preferred.
