CMU OmniClear Limited (CMU OmniClear) is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Exchange Fund. It carries out the operation and business development activities of the Central Moneymarkets Unit (CMU) on behalf of the HKMA. As part of the critical financial market infrastructure in Hong Kong, CMU is a central securities depository (CSD) for securities. CMU OmniClear’s vision is to continuously enhance CMU service coverage, expand connectivity with other markets and upgrade the CMU infrastructure to provide market participants with comprehensive and quality services.

Associate (Business Development)
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of CMU business and commercialisation initiatives
- Conduct high quality market research and financial / business analysis related to debt securities and domestic / international bond markets to support strategic ideation and to catalyse long-term growth
- Support work associated with potential M&A, investment, and external partnerships
- Establish connections with external stakeholders to develop CMU OmniClear's international linkages and clientele
- Monitor marketplace to ensure that CMU OmniClear keeps pace with market developments
Requirements
- University degree in finance, economics, business or related fields
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in strategy, corporate finance, consulting or business development. Experience or knowledge in financial institutions, such as financial market infrastructures and central securities depositories, is a plus
- Good understanding of global capital markets; international / domestic bond settlement and payment system operation in Hong Kong and Mainland an advantage
- Acute commercial and marketing awareness with strategic mindset
- Good interpersonal, communication and writing skills
- Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Mandarin
- Candidates with supplementary experience and qualifications will also be considered, even if they do not meet all of the specified requirements above
