The Office and The Role
The Information Technology Services Office (ITSO) is responsible for developing and managing the IT infrastructure, centralized systems, services and facilities for the University; and championing the wise use of IT for learning, research and administration activities.
The appointee will work closely with the Chief Information Officer to lead ITSO in carrying out all relevant responsibilities in cost-effective and forward-looking ways, capitalizing on the advances in information technology as well as the best practices to meet the University’s needs arising from the continuous pursuit of excellence in education, research and operations.
Requirements
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related disciplines, with extensive working experience in senior roles within the IT industry. The appointee should possess solid knowledge and experience in leading enterprise application development and support in higher education. Sound understanding of modern IT, especially those deployed in a sizable campus environment, should be a definite advantage. The successful candidate should have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese and good communication skills, be able to work independently, perform confidently under pressure, and be a good mentor to the co-workers.
Terms of Service
Appointment will be made on contract terms of 2 to 3 years, renewable subject to mutual agreement. Competitive remuneration and generous fringe benefits, including housing benefits where appropriate, will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
