Citi’s Banking franchise is organized around three lines of business: Investment Banking, Corporate Banking and Commercial Banking. The unified Banking and International organization oversees the local delivery of the full firm to clients in each of the 95 markets where Citi has an on-the-ground presence.
Citi Investment Bank provides advisory, debt and equity capital markets solutions for corporations, governments and financial institutions.
The Banker is a senior level position primarily responsible for assisting clients in raising funds through the issuance of convertible bonds, exchangeable bonds, warrants, and other equity-linked securities. Will involve providing advisory services for structured equity transactions in coordination with the Institutional Banking team, for publicly listed and private companies in the APAC region.
Responsibilities:
- Leverage past investment banking or related experience to enhance Equity Capital Markets (ECM) origination capabilities and contribute to building Citi's franchise
- Meet revenue and other financial goals by establishing and maintaining a pipeline of episodic deals
- Identify market trends and advise clients accordingly to seize capital raising opportunities in the APAC equity-linked market
- Primarily focused on origination and structuring equity-linked transactions for corporate clients in: South Korea, Japan, Australia, South East Asia, and India
- Advise on capital raising for private companies in coordination with our global privates team
- Ensure that proposed client solutions meet or exceed internal risk and return standards, including stringent ethical standards
- Build client relationships by providing sophisticated financial solutions tailored to the clients’ needs and acting as a content provider on market trends
- Serve as the expert on regulatory, financial and complex strategic issues relating to structured equity transactions
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- Experience in people management
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or closely related areas of Business Administration preferred
- Experience working in an investment banking institution(s)
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Demonstrated ability to remain unbiased in a diverse working environment
