Freight Analyst, North & South Asia District
This role supports the North & South Asia District Freight Forwarding Operations Director in overseeing Supply Chain Solutions (SCS) operations across multiple countries. The Freight Analyst contributes to achieving financial and operational targets by enhancing process efficiency, monitoring performance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Freight Operating Process and Procedure Development
- Assists in improving operations by ensuring operational processes are standardized and initiative execution are aligned across countries
- Assists in gateway and operational support measurements to monitor and improve processes and business results
- Assists in establishing and monitoring the Key Performance Indicators (including business results tracking, productivity, cost management) to ensure improvement of KPI’s
- Assists in pre-audit preparation and self-assessment to ensure countries work according to standard and comply way
- Makes recommendations for changes to resolve supply chain or operational issues
Documentation and Reporting
- Assists in the generation and distribution of performance reports to concerned parties to ensure performance awareness and improvement
- Produces statistical and analytical reports for management to determine lane activity and growth opportunities
- Conducts data analysis to identify issues and action plans for continuous improvement
FM Cost monitoring
- Evaluates IAF cost and sell rate input by country. Routing and mark up details to drive pricing competitiveness initiatives and margin improvement activities
Market Intelligence
- Gathers and conducts research on market intelligence
Coordination with Country Operations
- Works closely with countries on identifying root causes of recurring issues and develops solutions to improve freight forwarding operations
- Prepares weekly and monthly report and forecasts for district management and operations
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent professional qualification
- Solid understanding of freight forwarding operations, including intermodal transportation (air, ocean, rail, and ground)
- Proficient in English (spoken and written)
- Strong skills in Excel and other analytical tools or software
- Proactive mindset with a continuous improvement approach
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong analytical capabilities and quick problem-solving skills
- Fast learner who thrives in high-pressure environments
