You will be responsible for:
- leading and mentoring a lean team of communications professionals and play a key role in high-level strategy formulation, message development, and management of stakeholder relationships;
- developing and implementing comprehensive corporate communications initiatives and spearhead the planning and execution of major corporate events and media engagements;
- overseeing the implementation and optimization of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, ensuring effective stakeholder data management, analytics, and targeted communication strategies to enhance engagement and relationship building;
- overseeing the creation, editing, and management of website corporate content, ensuring consistency in messaging and alignment with overall corporate communication strategies;
- cultivating and maintaining strategic relationships with key external stakeholders, including arts and culture-related government departments, media outlets, and public bodies;
- overseeing the planning, coordination, and production of the organization's annual report, ensuring it effectively communicates key achievements, financial performance, and strategic vision to stakeholders while maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality;
- drafting and supervising the preparation of press releases concerning corporate governance matters, including board member appointments, board meetings outcomes, and other significant organizational developments, ensuring clear communication of complex issues to media and stakeholders; and
- driving the development and implementation of public affairs strategies and messaging, lead crisis communication efforts, manage high-stakes issues, and supervise the production of key communications materials.
You should:
- hold a recognised university degree in Public Affairs, Journalism, Communications, Politics, or a related field. Post-graduate qualifications are highly desirable;
- have minimum 8 years of relevant experience with at least 5 years in a supervisory or management role, focusing on corporate communications, public affairs, crisis communications, or government relations;
- possess an in-depth understanding of Hong Kong's political, social, and economic landscape, coupled with substantial knowledge of the PRC's political and business environment;
- have a proven track record in successfully managing complex public affairs issues and maintaining high-level relationships with government bodies and political groups;
- bring extensive experience in crisis communication and issue management within large, complex organizations;
- demonstrate substantial experience in media relations, with a proven ability to build and manage strong relationships with media outlets and journalists;
- exhibit exceptional leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team;
- demonstrate superior analytical and strategic thinking skills, adept at handling multiple high-priority projects under tight deadlines and high-pressure situations;
- show a proven ability to navigate and thrive in volatile, complex, and ambiguous environments;
- have a strong affinity for the arts and culture sector, with a commitment to advancing the West Kowloon Cultural District's vision; and
- possess outstanding command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua preferred.
