This role supports the Senior Manager, Multi-Asset & Tactical Allocation in managing the investment strategy for Life Funds. The position focuses on implementing Strategic Asset Allocation (SAA), monitoring investment performance, ensuring compliance, and supporting key governance processesJob Descriptions:
- Support the development and implementation of SAA plans with asset managers, facilitate discussions with the actuarial team on SAA changes, and manage SAA resets and related requests.
- Prepare materials for the Investment Committee (IC), Asset-Liability Committee (ALCO), Board meetings, and other relevant committees
- Provide analytical support for investment initiatives and assist with ad hoc projects assigned by the manager such as asset manager onboarding, investment due diligence, and process improvement.
- Support life fund performance monitoring, provide insights on performance attribution, and prepare commentary to explain investment outcome to key stakeholders.
- Prepare regular summary reports such as weekly market update, life fund performance summary, portfolio exposure, compliance with internal limits, waiver and compliance status summary, and maintaining SAA table.
Job Requirements:
- University degree in Finance, Actuarial Science or related discipline.
- 5 years of experience in multi-asset portfolio management, asset-liability management, or related investment roles within insurance or financial institutions.
- Strong understanding of insurance investment principles and multi-asset strategies.
- Experience working in an asset owner environment preferred.
- Exposure to actuarial functions is a plus.
- Self-motivated, open-minded, and quick to learn.
- Strong team player with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Proficiency in both Cantonese and English
