We are seeking a dedicated professional to assist in implementing the University’s safety policies and supporting the operations of Center of Laboratory Supplies (CLS), with knowledge on Dangerous Goods compliance and warehouse operations. The appointee will also support CLS in managing routine procurement of chemicals and laboratory consumables.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with procurement and logistics processes for laboratory supplies including but not limited to chemicals and laboratory consumables
- Monitoring and ensuring compliance with Dangerous Goods regulations
- Liaising with users and stakeholders regarding accounting and licensing applications
- Address inquiries and requests from laboratory users
- Monitor and manage inventory of CLS
- Maintain accurate documentation of CLS
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications and Experience:
- A relevant degree with at least 3 years of work experience in a tertiary or educational institution or completed secondary education with substantial experience in working in laboratory and warehouse environment
- Experience in warehouse and inventory management in sizable organization
- Sounded knowledge of chemicals and laboratory consumables (highly preferred)
- Prior experience of working in laboratory environment is preferred
- Strong computer skills, with proficiency in MS Office applications
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- The ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and collaborate effectively as part of a team
- Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua
Candidates with less experience or lower qualifications may be considered for appointment as Assistant Officer.
