We are seeking a dedicated professional to assist in implementing the University’s safety policies and supporting the operations of Center of Laboratory Supplies (CLS), with knowledge on Dangerous Goods compliance and warehouse operations. The appointee will also support CLS in managing routine procurement of chemicals and laboratory consumables.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with procurement and logistics processes for laboratory supplies including but not limited to chemicals and laboratory consumables;
- Monitoring and ensuring compliance with Dangerous Goods regulations;
- Liaising with users and stakeholders regarding accounting and licensing applications;
- Address inquiries and requests from laboratory users;
- Monitor and manage chemical inventory of the University;
- Maintain accurate documentations of CLS; and
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry with relevant working experience in a tertiary institution. Fresh graduate is welcome.
- Experience in chemical data management in sizable organization.
- Sounded knowledge of chemicals and laboratory consumables (highly preferred).
- Prior experience in working in laboratory environment is preferred.
- Strong computer skills, with proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- The ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua.
