Purchasing Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Purchasing Manager (Compliance Focus) to join our procurement team. This position is responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies within the procurement process. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of procurement compliance standards.
Your Role:
- Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures for the procurement department.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify potential compliance issues.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address compliance concerns and provide guidance on best practices.
- Stay up-to-date on changes in regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Train procurement staff on compliance standards and procedures.
- Investigate and resolve compliance issues as they arise.
- Prepare reports on compliance activities for management review.
To succeed in this role:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, Supply Chain or a related field.
- Prior experience in procurement related to critical infrastructure sectors such as Electricity, Transportation, and Telecommunications is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in compliance, preferably within a procurement or supply chain environment.
- A minimum of 10 years of comprehensive experience in the Purchasing and Supply field, with at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to procurement.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Certification in compliance or procurement (e.g., CSCP, CCEP) is a plus.
