Lead and supervise the collections team, ensuring timely follow-ups on delinquent SME accounts (both SFGS and secured loans).
Develop and implement effective collection strategies to maximize recovery while maintaining customer relationships.
Monitor delinquency trends and recommend proactive measures to reduce NPLs (Non-Performing Loans).
Ensure compliance with HKMA guidelines, HKMC requirements, and internal policies.
HKMC SFGS Claim Management
Oversee the end-to-end claim process for SFGS-guaranteed loans, ensuring timely submission and adherence to HKMC requirements.
Liaise with HKMC and legal teams to facilitate smooth claim settlements.
Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for audit and regulatory purposes.
Secured Loan Recovery (Property Collateral)
Manage the recovery process for property-secured loans, including liaising with legal teams, valuers, and auctioneers.
Ensure compliance with Hong Kong mortgage enforcement laws and internal recovery policies.
Negotiate debt restructuring or settlement agreements where applicable.
Team Leadership & Performance Management
Train, mentor, and motivate the collections team to meet recovery targets.
Set KPIs, conduct performance reviews, and optimize workflows for efficiency.
Foster a customer-centric approach while maintaining firmness on recoveries.
Reporting & Analytics
Prepare regular reports on delinquency rates, recovery rates, and claim status for senior management.
Utilize data analytics to identify risk patterns and improve collection strategies.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Risk Management, or related field
10+ years of collections experience, preferably in SME lending or commercial banking.
Strong knowledge of HKMC SFGS claim procedures and secured loan recovery in Hong Kong.
Familiarity with Hong Kong debt collection laws, HKMA regulations, and property foreclosure processes.
Leadership experience with a track record of managing high-performing teams.
Proficiency in English and Cantonese (Mandarin is a plus).
