ROLE SUMMARY
In this role, the trader is responsible for executing all buy and sell orders generated by portfolio managers and analysts on behalf of our clients in APAC region. The trader is responsible for seeking best execution, monitoring market activity, disseminating and communicating key information, and general involvement in our equity investment process.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute trades in APAC markets.
- Develop and manage relationships with broker/dealers
- Gather and analyze market color and communicate relevant information to portfolio managers, analysts, other investment professionals and traders globally
- Work with international offices on equity trading process
- Maximize best execution practices
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of market structure and regulatory issues.
- Keep up with the latest trading technology.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Undergraduate degree from an accredited institution and at least three years of relevant trading experience in APAC markets, including Japan and Australia.
- Experience in multi asset class products preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience to work and negotiate effectively with internal teams and external brokers / dealers.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team comprised of portfolio managers, analysts, and traders
- Sound quantitative skills and comfortable working with data and various analytical tools
- Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task, and work with precision and pressure
- Intellectual curiosity and strong problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated, open-minded, highly ethical and creative
