Assistant Planning and Control Officer

Responsibilities

• Carry out planning of engineering works for infrastructure railway assets
• Resolve conflicts of track resources to achieve smooth planning and implementation of scheduled activities and effective usage of resource across the department
• Monitor the implementation of scheduled activities to ensure compliance with asset maintenance plan
• Coordinate with Maintainers to prepare annual maintenance budget and conduct on-going review
• Manipulate various systems related to asset management, work possession management, maintenance planning and budgeting
• Support the development and enhancement for Maintenance Information Management Systems

Requirements

• Higher Diploma / Higher Certificate in Engineering or a related discipline
• A minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience
• Knowledge of various Maintenance Information Management Systems
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese with strong analytical and interpersonal skills
• Well-versed with various software applications and information systems, such as Excel (including Visual Basic for Applications) and Access
• Knowledge of railway safety rules and related statutory requirements is an advantage

Remarks

• Candidates with less experience or lower qualification will be considered for the Planning and Control Assistant position
