KLN is an Asia-based, global 3PL with a highly diversified business portfolio and extensive coverage in Asia. We offer a broad range of supply chain solutions from integrated logistics, international freight forwarding (air, ocean, road, rail and multimodal) and e-commerce to industrial project logistics and infrastructure investment.
This is a strategic, customer-facing sales role focused on acquiring new clients and expanding business with existing accounts. The Manager is responsible for identifying opportunities, developing tailored supply chain solutions, and driving commercial growth within targeted vertical industries. The role supports KLN’s regional and global business objectives by increasing market share and enhancing the company’s presence across key products and trade lanes.
Responsibilities
1.Commercial Responsibilities
Accountable for the result delivery derived from sales activities within the targeted new and additional business Regional / (Global) Account portfolio, by personally leading opportunities and assist his or her teammates and junior staff through the process of identifying, qualifying, pursuing and winning new and additional business opportunities in collaboration with functional pursuit team members within the KLN network.
2.Pre and Post Sales Responsibilities
Accountable for ensuring that Value Propositions sold are fully scoped with robust pre and post sales engagement and commitment from commercial, solutions, pricing, carrier management and operational pursuit team members, with ensuing comprehensive SOP’s enabling flawless execution of the sold value proposition, and ensuring contracts / agreements are vetted and authorized by signatories.
Accountable for being the “Global/Regional Owner” of assigned existing and targeted customers within the portfolio and thereafter engagement with KLN counterparts for multi-regional customers and pursuits.
Accountable for ensuring that customers meet committed levels of volume and traffic profile, and for proactively addressing shortfalls in commitment, with ensuing renegotiations as necessary.
3.Commercial Footprint expansion
Accountable for identifying and sharing customer strategies that may provide a platform for future KLN product development and enhancement, with internal KLN product development stakeholders.
Accountable for capturing and escalating ‘success stories’ from significant customer wins and supporting knowledge transfer to team members for ongoing competency improvement.
Requirements
Degree holder in Logistics Management or related disciplines with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in a client-facing role, preferably in International Freight Forwarding industry
Able to engage and empathize with less senior influencers and users
Ability to understand how supply chain solutions may be leveraged to deliver strategic intent across all functions of a client’s business
Highly developed consultative selling approach, persuasiveness and influencing skills
Strong knowledge of Logistics process and solution design outlines
Proven track record of targeting, pursuing and winning a sizeable portfolio of new logo key customers, through combined personal and collaborative selling efforts.
Proficiency in MS Office
Proficient in spoken and written English & Chinese
