The Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) is a member institute of the Vocational Training Council (VTC), established in 2012. It is an innovative, professional and entrepreneurial organisation committed to greening and sustainability. THEi offers over 20 professional "Applied Science-Oriented" undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes across six Academic Departments: Department of Food and Health Sciences, Department of Construction, Environment and Engineering, Department of Sport and Recreation, Department of Hospitality and Business Management, Department of Design and Architecture, and Department of Digital Innovation and Technology. Major Duties:
The appointee will assist the Principal Investigator (PI) in a variety of research duties including but not limited to literature review, data collection, data analysis, and report writing with text and graphics.
Requirements:
For the post of Part-time Research Assistant I, applicants should possess a recognised Master’s degree in Social Science, Fashion and Textile, International Business, Economics, Supply Chain, Statistic, Computer Science (Machine and Artificial Intelligence) or other related disciplines; or a recognised degree in a related discipline with relevant work experience.
For the post of Part-time Research Assistant II, applicants should possess a recognised sub-degree in Social Science, Fashion and Textile, International Business, Economics, Supply Chain, Statistic, Computer Science (Machine and Artificial Intelligence) or other related disciplines; or equivalent level of study.
Applicants should also:
(a)
have experience in using research software, including but not limited to SPSS, EViews and EndNote;
(b)
have knowledge in business, management, marketing, textile and clothing, and supply chain related theories;
(c)
have a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua; and
(d)
be a fast learner, able to work independently with strong sense of responsibility and detail-oriented.
Notes:
(1)
The appointee may be required to perform duties at different sites and work on Saturdays and Sundays.
(2)
The remuneration package will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
(3)
The appointee(s) will work at the Chai Wan Campus.
