Job Summary:
Seize the opportunity to join J.P. Morgan Asset Management's dynamic, fast-paced environment as an Associate in Business Management, supporting our APAC markets. This Hong Kong-based role involves strategic planning, location governance, and facilitation of business and budget plans.
As an Associate within the Asset Management Business Management team you will be responsible for covering the APAC Market, and work closely with stakeholders across management, distribution, product, and supporting functions across the firm. In this role you will be reporting to the Asset Management - Asia Pacific Regional Business Management Lead.
Job responsibilities
- Execute strategic initiatives set by senior leadership and location / functional heads, including delivery of key projects from end-to-end process
- Assess, analyze and track latest industry data / regulatory changes / product trends to help define and set the business growth agenda
- Represent Business Management in the F&BM and broader OCFO organization; facilitate business and budget plans, develop and enhance reporting systems to foster business insights/analytics
- Provide risk and control oversight as the go-to person in first line of defense; work closely with control partners to ensure the business is compiled to both regulatory requirements and J.P. Morgan Asset Management’s best practices
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 3 years of experience within bank/ asset management or equivalent organization
- Highly motivated self-starter with ability to manage ambiguity and tight deadlines
- Excellent problem solving and project management skills; numerical fluency to analyze data and presence present conclusions concisely
- Effective relationship building skills with the ability to listen well and influence others
- Fiduciary, risk and control mindset to uphold organizational values and principles
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Programming literacy especially in automation related fields
- Knowledge and prior experience in sales and/or product related roles
- Language proficiency in APAC markets with presence would be a plus
