The appointee will provide general support to the Library’s Access Services Unit.
Job duties include:
- Perform counter duties at service desks;
- Provide support to facilities, equipment, and study areas during floor duty;
- Monitor facilities and equipment, report and follow up defects, and collect usage data;
- Conduct routine physical collection maintenance; and
- Provide clerical and logistics support for library activities, projects and events.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 passes in HKCEE, including English (Grade C minimum if Syllabus A or level 2 if results were obtained from 2007 onwards) and Chinese; or 5 subjects with English Language and Chinese Language achieving level 2 or above (or equivalent) in HKDSE;
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and Chinese processing;
- Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese;
- Service-oriented mindset and strong team player;
- Excellent typing, data entry and analytical skills;
- Experience working in an academic library environment is a plus; and
- Willingness to undertake shift duties.
(Duration: 2 years, renewable)
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
