Manager, IT Infrastructure Operations
Position Overview:
The IT Infrastructure Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in leading a team of IT professionals and ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of the organization's IT infrastructure. Reporting to the senior leadership within the IT department, this role requires excellent technical expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to ensure robust operations support for all IT systems and applications. The successful candidate will oversee the maintenance, optimization, and strategic development of IT systems while aligning operations with organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
- Manage, mentor, and lead a team of IT professionals to deliver high-quality IT services and solutions
- Oversee the maintenance and optimization of IT infrastructure, including local and regional networks, data centers, public cloud platforms, server and virtualization environments, and storage systems
- Ensure system reliability, security, and performance by implementing robust disaster recovery and backup procedures, as well as information security measures
- Sustain service levels for production applications and systems by adhering to ITSM and ITOM processes, focusing on incident management, problem management, change management, knowledge management, and operation management
- Lead or participate in enterprise-scale IT projects, collaborating with vendors and suppliers to design and implement effective solutions
- Support hybrid cloud environment operations and align infrastructure initiatives with the organization's technology strategy
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and evaluate potential products to establish group standards and optimize IT solutions
- Coordinate with other departments to align IT strategies with broader organizational goals and ensure seamless communication
Requirements:
- Degree holder in Computing or a related discipline
- 6-8 years of experience in IT infrastructure, IT operations, and/or end-user support, with proven expertise in managing technical staff and vendors to deliver enterprise-scale IT services
- Strong problem-solving, management, and analytical skills in areas such as LAN/WAN, Microsoft 365, Active Directory Services, Cloud infrastructure, server and virtualization platforms, storage/container solutions, SSL certification management, ServiceNow, disaster recovery management, and backup solutions
- Holder of certifications such as MCSE, CCNA/CCNP, VMware, public cloud certifications, ITIL will be considered a significant advantage
- Proficiency in diagnosing IT incidents and problems to minimize system downtime and ensure user satisfaction
- Experience in F&B, retail, or manufacturing environments is advantageous
- Excellent written and spoken English and Cantonese, with strong negotiation, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
