Part-time (Daytime) Lecturer

(a)

To perform teaching duties including supervision of students’ projects and fieldwork placement in areas of product design, interior design, or sketching and drawing;

(b)

To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration;

(c)

To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials;

(d)

To assist in validation and accreditation of programmes; and

(e)

To participate in networking with industry / industrial attachments, departmental projects and functions including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions.

Requirements:

(a)

A recognised degree in product design, interior design or equivalent, preferably with a post-graduate qualification;

(b)

At least 3 years’ relevant teaching experience and/or industrial experience;

(c)

With knowledge and experience in teaching BTEC Extended Diploma of the following areas

Product design

Interior design

Sketching and drawing

(d)

Preferably with knowledge and experience in using design software, e.g. Sketchup, AutoCAD, 3D Studio Max, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.; and

(e)

Possess good communication, interpersonal, team building and presentation skills.

Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply.

The work location will be Tiu Keng Leng.
