The Department of Family Medicine and Primary Care, School of Clinical Medicine, is seeking a full-time Research Assistant I (Ref.: 532898) to commence as soon as possible. This is a temporary position with a one-year contract, renewable subject to satisfactory performance.
Qualifications:
- A Master's degree in Medicine, Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Biomedical Sciences, or a related discipline.
- Evidence of academic excellence in undergraduate/ postgraduate studies.
- Strong written and spoken proficiency in Chinese and English (e.g., TOEFL/IELTS).
- Strong quantitative skills and proficiency in programming (e.g., R/SAS/STATA).
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of multitasking.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and with external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
The appointee will be responsible for research projects in health and health services, pharmacoepidemiology and epidemiological studies on non-communicable diseases using population-based cohorts in Hong Kong and overseas. Key tasks include:
- Conducting literature reviews.
- Cleaning and analyzing data.
- Assisting in the preparation of academic publications and reports for funded projects.
- Performing other tasks as required by the team.
